The race of the season was on full throttle as racing enthusiasts, fans and pros gathered at the Batangas Racing Circuit as the 2010 Philippine Production Car Championships continues to burn tires at the racetrack. At the head of the pack, Chevrolet.

The Philippine Production Car Championship (PPCC) is composed of 3 legs, each leg has 4 rounds. And last November 20 to 21, Chevrolet broke boundaries on the racetrack as the Chevrolet–BRE Team, aboard the Chevy Cruze PhTC, captures two (2) 3rd place finishes on Saturday and two (2)1st place finishes on Sunday with Cyrille Fontaine, BRE's Race Car Driver. This puts Chevrolet/BRE at an overall 2nd place standing in the PPCC race series. More importantly, it gives the team a crack at the championship trophy as it goes into the final leg of the race series in January 2011.

The outstanding win of Chevrolet can only be deemed as remarkable as this is Chevy's first dip into the local motorsport aboard the Chevrolet Cruze. The Cruze was launched last February and being a new platform, this year is still considered a developmental year for the team and its partners. Also noteworthy, is that Chevrolet has the Cruze PHTC as its lone car entry compared to its seasoned rivals.
